I'm not sure if I should be flattered by the idea of ghosts liking me.

[But then, it is kind of true. Her magical energy tends to draw spirits even if she is awful at communicating with them.]

If that's the case, I wish they'd find some other way. Nothing's terribly damaged but they scared off a customer and I must have spent a third of my day fixing things they knocked over. Does yours actually behave?

[Hajime seemed to be getting along with it at least.]

Mmmmm~ Boo-chan here and I do get along pretty well. He likes to dig through and scatter my things around but it's nothing too bad. I'm still working on setting up my room so there's noting to break.

[She smiles at the little ghost sweetly]

If it happens again, Lily-san, I don't mind helping you fix things. If you need a hand, just let me know. Family helps each other out, right?

[Even if they're more of an assign family. Hajime was friendly and did take a liking to the witch. ]

What in the Sam Hill? You even named it? And how do you know it's a he?

[The dang critters didn't look like much more than transparent spheres with vague faces to her.]

Thanks for the offer, Hajime. But I think it shouldn't be necessary--[And that was when two new ghosts materialized in the air next to her, spouting gibberish.] Dag nab it! More of them?!

Mmm....Just a feeling, I guess? He sorta looks like a he, right?

[No it doesn't, it looks like every other genderless ghost..but Hajime seems to think otherwise. She perks at the two new attentions to their family]

Wow, they really like you Lily-san! We're going to have a house full at this rate.

It looks more like the ghost of some child's lost ball to me...

[Nope, she doesn't see what Hajime sees in the ghost that makes her think it's a he.]

[She grumbles.] I hope not. Lezard's already been messing with the skeletons when I warned him not to. [Yes, skeletons. He'd made them multiply in hopes of building an army of minions. A fact that she's somewhat grumpy about. It's made the idea of kicking him out of bed and forcing him to sleep on the couch again tempting.]

So skeletons are more his thing. I haven't really gotten the chance to talk to Lezard-san.

[She crosses her arms so her fingers can then point in two different directions]

We keep missing each-other some how. But I'm sure he means well.

I sort of wish they weren't. One is more than enough and I was hoping to not have to deal with multiple skeletons like last year. [Unaware of the consequences, she'd accidentally made them multiple by trying to blast them off the lawn then.]

Well, he's not exactly a social butterfly. He seems to prefer books to people a lot and often seems to be marking some test or quiz that he's given his students.

I don't think they're too bad. The ghosts are cuter though. I've heard from other people that this is probably just a Halloween thing. [Aw, shes going to have to say goodbye to her new friend eventually.]

You know a lot about him, Lily-san~!
[Hajime smiles, bringing her hands back together.]

So does he prefer you to books?

Well, the skeletons all collapsed after the Halloween party last year. Maybe, the ghosts will leave then too. [Although she wouldn't mind if they were gone sooner with the messes they were making at the shop.]

I reckon anyone would after living in the same house for so long. He showed up in January on New Year's Day.

[But that last question makes her blush and exclaim in protest.]

Hajime! Why would you suggest that?!

[It's probably easy to guess what the answer might be...]

I hope not. I like Boo-chan here. He's super cute.

[It'd be sad to see the little ghost poof but if it's got to happen....she'll just enjoy what little she has left with her new spooky friend]

It's obvious isn't it?

[Hajime just smiles, folding her hands together behind her back comfortably.]
You know a lot about him and you speak of him fondly. So it's easy to see that're close and it makes sense that he would like to talk to you over his books! It's cute, Lily-san, don't be embarrassed~!

[She giggles]

[Yes, it's obvious because she still hasn't quite gotten the color of her face under control and the giggling isn't helping.]

Well, it makes sense that folks living together would talk sometimes, doesn't it? We're just friends.

[Nope, she definitely doesn't need Hajime speculating on what else they might do besides talk! Lily's always been a bit embarrassed about people knowing about her love life so they're going to have to be careful about sneaking kisses in the kitchen with the new addition to their household.]

Well, a few things have stayed like Lezard's dog. [The bowtie wearing welsh corgi had just appeared one day in September and stayed even though the one that followed her had vanished.] But things usually go back to normal after a while whenever strange things happen here.
